Club de Creativos is the most important Spanish organization in the ad creativity area in Spain, working to improve and unite the national creative talent. Every year, as part of the National Creativity Awards, the "Hack for Good" contest is held in collaboration with Meta to select the next generation of Spanish creatives. Out of hundreds of participants, eight of us were the winners who made it to the final round.
The briefing was from Repsol and was focused on Waylet, a payment app that allows you to pay quickly and securely at gas stations. The contestants had to design a communication strategy or a user acquisition action to increase the number of users and reach 2.5MM registrations in the service. We started by thinking about the core function of the app. If we all pay with our phone, what good is your wallet? With that thought, "My Way(let)" was born.
The campaign was, in short, a music video adapting My Way, the classic Frank Sinatra song. We had to shape the idea; write the script; record the voice-over; modify the original score of the song and adapt it for the three voices; record the song; design the dancing wallets, objects and scenarios; animate everything and put the whole project together. The result gave us a win and guaranteed us a spot on the National Creativity Awards final round.
